Rest Day
Any work outside of holiday periods is considered overtime. Overtime rates are as follows: double the SAC for Sundays, 1.5 times the SAC for other holidays, and 1.25 times the SAC for weekdays. Unless otherwise stated, the above rules apply.
- The 'four workdays, three off days' policy (Sunday must be a rest day, and Monday must be a workday).
- Statutory holidays are not days off due to different national regulations and are subject to the following fixed holiday policies.
- Reversal Days: When there's a working day between the holidays listed below and the fixed weekly rest day, that working day reverses to a rest day. For example (2023), if November 22nd to November 24th is a short holiday of 3 days, assuming November 25th is a working day, but November 26th is a Sunday (required rest day), November 25th will reverse to a rest day, resulting in a total of 5 days off from November 22nd to November 26th.
- Short Holiday of 3 days: November 22nd to November 24th.
- Middle Holiday of 8 days (paid leave): March 24th to March 31st, May 1st to May 8th, October 1st to October 8th.
- Long Holidays: 25 days before and 9 days after the 15th day of the lunar calendar's twelfth month, a total of 25 days; August 10th to August 31st, a total of 22 days; December 15th to January 9th of the following year, a total of 26 days.
- Maternity Leave: Female employees can take maternity leave 8 weeks before and 8 weeks after delivery (total of 16 weeks, must be applied for upon knowing about the pregnancy). Additionally, they can get up to 3 years (freely chosen) of childcare leave. To support life, the company provides a $450 childcare subsidy per week.
- Paternity Leave: Male employees can take paternity leave 6 weeks before and 8 weeks after delivery (total of 14 weeks, must be applied for upon knowing about the pregnancy). Additionally, they can get up to 6 months (freely chosen) of childcare leave and up to 30 months (freely chosen) of short-term work. Short-term work follows a 'three workdays, four off days' schedule from 9:30 AM to 4 PM, with a salary equivalent to 50% of the Basic Salary.
*Company senior management has different leave arrangements from other employees.
*To support employees during long holidays, the company will provide bonuses (based on company earnings) at that time.
